PCT : What would you most like to be remembered for ? CL : I ’ d like to be known for being a good husband and father and pointing people to Christ .
PCT : If you could have lunch with any one , either living or dead from history , who would it be ? CL : This is a tough question , because there are so many . At this point in my life I ’ d love to sit down with some of the civil rights leaders of the 60s . Our current political climate seems to romanticize or distort history – I ’ d love to have a real understanding of the world at that time and how it applies to our world today .
PCT : If you had to do another job than what you ’ re doing , what would you do ? CL : I ’ d love to be a travel blogger / photographer and document some of the more remote and difficult parts of the world . life ? CL : After college I spent a year in Chile – spending most of my time with people who didn ’ t even speak English . Building relationships with people from a different language and culture is one of the most challenging and interesting things I ’ ve done .

PCT : How did you get into your occupation ? CL : I ’ ve loved music since I was young , but after studying it in college I was done – or so I thought . Opportunities to lead worship kept coming my way , so I finally embraced the fact that it was God ’ s calling on my life .
PCT : What do you do to decompress ? CL : I love going to the Holland Lake Trail . It ’ s the perfect place to go if I want to get a run in , or if I just want to take a walk and clear my mind .
PCT : What is something people don ’ t know about you ? CL : Most people probably don ’ t know that when I was younger I learned to
PCT : What is your impact to Parker County ? CL : I ’ ve been leading worship at my church for 10 years now , but I would hope my biggest impact would be in the lives of the individuals I ’ ve connected with . I ’ ve spent much of my time mentoring young people in this community and I believe those kinds of connections are much more valuable and lasting than what I do on stage from week to week .
PCT : What is your definition of the best day ever ? CL : Being with my family – somewhere outdoors .

I ’ ve learned from personal experience that when I ’ m concerned with getting my way or winning arguments , life is a constant struggle . If I spend my time and energy loving others and serving them , life is so much more enjoyable .

PCT : How did you get into your occupation ? DB : I came to my profession by a combo of circumstance and love of art . I was living in New York with my toddler and worked for the Painter ’ s Union . I wanted more time with my son and teaching gave me the ability to have the same schedule as well as making art every day .
PCT : What is your favorite novel ? DB : I love to read but Stephen King ’ s Insomnia is always one of my favorites . I just love how he paints the characters into people you care for .
PCT : What do you do to decompress ? DB : Treadmill-I don ’ t run , but I ’ m happy at full incline . I also love to travel . It may not always be relaxing , but I always return recharged .
