PARKER COUNTY AG Becca Ellis GARNER ELEMENTARY STUDENT B ecca Ellis, a fifth-grader at Garner Elementary, got involved with the 4-H Club through her family. Her dad did it when he was her age and encouraged Becca and her older sister Elizabeth to follow in his footsteps. She currently shows rabbits and chickens, but has shown multiple other animals in the past, including goats, pigs and sheep. She has won multiple ribbons, including “Best of Opposite Breed” from the Hoppy New Year Show in Mineral Wells. When she grows up she would like to be a dancer. When asked about her favorite animal she was quick to say that she loves rabbits because “they are cute and cuddly,” and they are her favorite animals to show. Her advice to people thinking about showing is to “get the experience.” She thinks it’s important to know about these animals, and she thinks showing is really fun.
