Cindy loves the people that they meet at their location on North Main. “I like to get their needs taken care of before they even know they need something,” she said. Daughter Beth is in charge of marketing and was working the floor helping me and others in attendance find the perfect wine for their palate. It’s a fun and relaxing space and Ron said he wants it to be like the “Cheers” of Weatherford, “where everybody knows your name.” They have upcoming events including a karaoke contest, and will even be hosting a grape stomp when the grapes are picked in the fall. With live music on the patio, delicious wine and many friendly faces, it’s hard to imagine Sweet Springs not being a success in Weatherford for years to come. The tasting room is open from Thursday through Sunday. The hours are Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitors can also enjoy a bite to eat with their wine at The Bistro. Offerings include cheese platters which include not just cheese, but fruits, nuts, crackers or bread, meats, pickles and olives. They also have a variety of sandwiches, chips and salsas, cheese bread, bruschetta and an assortment of desserts to tickle your sweet tooth. Sweet Springs Wines can be purchased at the winery’s tasting room located at 215 N. Sweet Springs is providing the wine for the upcoming Who’s Going to Fill Their Shoes event sponsored by Parker County Today and benefitting Chandor Gardens Foundation, Inc., on April 30 at Chandor Gardens.
