Message from Superintendent Dr. Barry Shepherd, Ed.D.
Greetings,
The school year is in full swing with many activities and events happening in our schools.
In this issue, we introduce you to our Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year – both of whom are
talented and caring educators and administrators dedicated to student success. We also are excited to
share news about a recent multi-million dollar grant our school system has received and how we have
expanded our school resource officer program to our elementary schools.
I encourage you to visit our district website at www.cabarrus.k12.nc.us to stay up-to-date on district
news and happenings. You also can connect with us on social media via our Facebook and Twitter sites.
Thank you for an awesome start to the school year. We are grateful for your continued support and
partnership.
Sincerely,
Barry Shepherd, Ed.D.
