the recipient of
a Blanche and
Julian Robertson
Family Foundation,
Inc. grant award.
Through the
University of North
Carolina’s Center
for International
Understanding, this
Robertson Grant will
cover the full cost
for Cassie to travel
and attend the Center’s July 2015 Global Teachers: Singapore and Malaysia
professional development program.
Cassie is currently a Reading Design Coach at Morgan Elementary School.
She was honored and recognized by the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education
at the January board meeting.

SHS Inducts 63 into NHS

Society inducted 63 new
members from Salisbury
High School. The student
officers conducted the
program with president

as the speaker. Mr.
Brown presented an
outstanding talk on integrity, character, and envisioning success to encourage
students to continue to set goals and achieve. NHS members must continue
to maintain a 3.6 GPA, demonstrate character and leadership in the school
and community, and take part in service opportunities.
