Rowan-Salisbury Kicks Off New School Year with a Pep Rally!
Community Sponsors Provide Gifts to Staff
Rowan-Salisbury School employees, all 3,000,
made history this year by hosting the first-ever “Back
to School Pep Rally” held at North Rowan High School.
Each school was challenged to create a school chant
to sing to a panel of judges as they entered the
stadium with students carrying banners, donated by
Herff Jones. Salisbury High Hornet staff won the E3
Spirit Award! Each school came dressed in their own
designed T-shirts packed with tons of school spirit.
High school and middle school cheerleaders, jazz
bands, and JROTC created an atmosphere of energy,
pride, and excitement to kick off the best extraordinary
school year ever - all for our students!
Alex Reynolds, Theater Arts Teacher at Jesse
Carson High School was the MC for the Pep Rally.
The Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. Lynn
Moody, Assistant Superintendents, and community
sponsors paraded into the stadium via trolly cars and
antique police vehicles from the Spencer Transportation
Museum.
