Family Workout - Uno Card Game!
Parents, we know that it's tough to stay physically
fit with kids especially with the sacrifices you
have to make throughout the week for them, such
as dropping them off at practices and picking
them up from after school activities. The bottom
line is that breaking routine is tough especially if
the routine is beneficial for your kids, but does
that give you the excuse not to workout at all???
NO! Our solution is simple, spend family time with
a fitness twist! To the right is our version of a
classic card game that your family can play with
some "get fit" added in, so...LET'S PLAY UNO!!!
Everyone is pretty familiar with the classic card game of Uno so
we've decide to add more fun and fitness to the game! All of the
original rules still apply for the game. If you're unfamiliar with the
general rules look at the instructions listed on the box.
Once the game is underway every time a person has to add cards
to their hand they must do the exercise of the corresponding color
and the number of reps on the card.
Blue Cards = Walking Lunges (1 = Both sides)
Yellow Cards = Body Weight Squats
Green Cards = Push-ups
Red Cards = Sit Ups or Crunches
Wild Cards = Burpees
Example: If someone has to add a Blue 5, Yellow 9, and 3 Green
from the card pile then they must complete the following:
Walking Lunges - 5 reps
Body Weight Squats - 9 reps
Push-Ups - 3
