UCPS schools recognized for global education Each of the 53 schools in the Union County Public Schools system earned recognition for their efforts in bringing globalization into the classroom. This is the third year that UCPS has recognized global education, recognitions that resulted from the Global Schools Program designed to encourage educators to bring global education to the classroom. Schools document their work in the area of Globalization through electronic portfolios. These portfolios are judged by the school system’s Globalization Committee comprised of teachers and administrators from around the county. Portfolios are also part of the assessment process, judged by the school system’s Globalization Committee comprised of teachers and administrators from around the county.
