NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION FOR SCHOOL NURSES
Congratulations to the following RSS Nurses that have received certification through the National Board Certification for School Nurses .
North Carolina requires that school nurses be nationally certified within 3 years of employment with a local public school district . A registered nurse must be Bachelors prepared to sit for the certification . Sharon Beck is the RSS District Nurse Coordinator .

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE
Rowan-Salisbury Students were honored at the September Board of Education meeting for being selected as winners from their schools in the “ Summer Reading Challenge .”
Here is the Challenge – Students could enter their names in the drawing once for every :
10 Achieve3000 Articles - Must be read at Lexile reading level - Must complete activities at 75 %
OR
1 Book on Grade Level - Must complete a book summary - Must have parent signature of completion
Each school held a drawing for the two lucky winners that participated in the summer reading challenge . Each winner could select a prize of their choice from listing of prizes . The more students read-the more chances they had of winning !
