Schools to provide a
free college access
program for our
students. Crosby
Scholars assist in
preparing students
academically,
financially, and
personally for a
successful college
admission and other
post-secondary
opportunities. The
vision of the Crosby
Scholars is “to
ensure that every
public school student
in Rowan County has
the opportunity to
attend college.”
There are
currently over 2,000
Rowan-Salisbury
students enrolled in Crosby Scholars and benefitting from this
amazing program.

Millbridge Elementary School
The Charlotte Hornets “Book Bus” visited Millbridge Elementary
to kick off our
reading focus
for the year.
Over 550 of our
students were
entertained and
encouraged to
read daily. Some
lucky students
were able to
select new books
off the bus to
highlight their
reading for the
year. We were
able to combine
this with our
district 60/20
challenge, our
4th grade 40
book challenge,
and our Books for
Boys club.
