RSS Student Showcase for NC Legislators
In April, students and teachers from North Rowan High, Knox Middle, and
West Rowan Elementary schools were given the awesome opportunity to
showcase their work for our state legislators in Raleigh, NC. They presented
to a stunned crowd
how technology helps
to transform instruction
and student learning
across our district and
the state. Students took
this occasion to share
what they are learning
in areas of personalized
playlists, design thinking,
and problem-based
learning to leaders such
as State Superintendent
Mark Johnson, Lt.
Governor Dan Forest,
NC Representation Craig
Horn, as well as other
state legislators and
business representatives.
Rowan-Salisbury teachers Ashley Holshouser, Sally Schultz, and Alexis Greer
were very proud of their students in their presentation skills and excitement
for personalized learning.
Our RSS Innovation Coach Amie Caudle accompanied the students and
teachers.
