NATIONAL SURVEY HONORS ROWAN-SALISBURY SCHOOLS FOR PIONEERING USES OF TECHNOLOGY
Exciting news for the Rowan-
Salisbury Schools as the school
board and district are ranked
among the Top 10 Nationally
as a leader in the uses of
technology for student success.
School Board Member Dr. Richard
Miller and the district’s Chief
Legal Officer April Kuhn accepted
the award at the National School
Boards Association annual
conference held in Denver,
Colorado from March 25 –
March 27.
Now in the 13th year, the
top-ranked school districts
were announced through the
annual ‘Digital School Districts
Survey’ awards that honor and
recognize districts for their
exemplary use of technology.
The awards are presented by
the Center for Digital Education
(CDE) and by the National
School Boards Associa tion
(NSBA).
“This award speaks volumes
to the commitment of our
students, teachers and staff, as
well as the tremendous support
of our community, businesses
and elected officials,” says
Superintendent Dr. Lynn Moody.
“This is our award, belonging to
all of us. We have so much to
celebrate!”
“This recognition is a reflection
of the hard work put in by our
staff each day,” states Rowan-
Salisbury Board of Education
Chair Josh Wagner. “Our
implementation of technology
has certainly been an uphill
climb. Even now, we continue
to improve upon it. Technology isn't the answer. It is simply a tool to enhance
education. I'm excited to see where we go.”
