COMMUNITY SCHOOL VISITS
Opening Our Schools to Stakeholders
Many district partners - community businesses,
faith-based, elected officials, parents, and school
administrators have been enjoying weekly visits to a
different school each week during the school year.
These weekly visits allowed one school each week
to be in the spotlight as they have the opportunity to
tell guests about the great things happening at their
schools. Principals began by providing an overview of
the school and achievements – then our students took
over. They act as tour guides leading visitors through
classrooms to observe instruction and informing folks
about the great things happening at their schools. It
was so refreshing to hear the excitement and see the
enthusiasm of students talk about their school.
Everyone in the community was invited. Visits
were scheduled from September through April. The
