West Rowan High School Class Selected As Achieve3000 Big Debate Participant Congratulations to West Rowan High School teacher Courtney Wood! Ms. Wood’s students have been chosen as final participants for Achieve3000’s Big Debate. This honor enables Ms. Wood’s class to not only participate in a live, virtual debate with another classroom, they also have a chance to win a trip to the NC State Capital. We’re so excited! ACHIEVE3000 The Leader In Differentiated Instruction Achieve3000 and the RowanSalisbury School System are working together to accelerate learning and put all students on track for college and career success. As part of the partnership, RowanSalisbury Schools is implementing Achieve3000’s literacy solutions district-wide. All days (except Sunday) between August 29 and June 9, no matter how they are designated on the school calendar MAY become make-up days. Be advised the week of Spring Break (April 14-21) is tentative and can be used as school make-up days. Any Saturday, particularly in January-April is subject to being changed to a school make-up day. Notice for make-up days may be short depending upon the timing and duration of the inclement weather. General statues and State Board of Education policy concerning the school calendar will be followed. The make-up schedule will be announced as soon as possible after an inclement weather event has ended. STUDENT EARLY RELEASE DAYS Student Early Release Days: Students will be dismissed from school 2.5 hours earlier than the normal dismissal time on seven days during the year. Lunch will be served before students dismiss. After school activities will begin at the regularly scheduled time.
