From Rowan-Salisbury Nurses... When students and/or staff are ill, please stay home. The goal of the Rowan Salisbury School is to keep our students and staff healthy. We would like to remind parents and staff of the following: • When students and/or staff are ill, please stay home. • Consult your Health Care provider or the Rowan County Health Department for cases of diarrhea with fever, cramping and/or blood. • For fever alone, students and staff should be fever free without medications for at least 24 hours before returning to school. • For diarrhea related illnesses, symptoms should be gone for at least 48 hours before returning to school. • The best way to prevent spread of illness is to wash hands frequently. The use of hand sanitizers is discouraged and should only be used when soap and water are not available.
