RSS Announces New Logo
In October 2018, the Rowan-Salisbury Board of
Education approved an updated version of our
district’s logo. The new version reflects and aligns
with Rowan County’s brand of - ‘Be an original.”
With Rowan-Salisbury Schools beginning the new
school year as a Renewal School System, it seems
an appropriate time to revisit the district’s logo for
possible revisions.
A little history…
In 2014, RSS initiated a new Strategic Plan that
included a brand new district logo and tagline -
“Extraordinary Education Every Day.”
In 2015, Rowan County embarked on a branding
campaign that resulted in local government agencies
and organizations embracing a new brand and
changing their logos to alignment with the brand -
'Be an original.'
Miller Davis Studios designed our current logo. We
asked MDS to provide a redesign of our current logo
to reflect and align with Rowan County’s brand - 'Be
an original.' We also asked for the redesign to be
subtle so that it would not be necessary to make
drastic changes to materials that currently bare our logo. Rather, changes
may be made as the need arises. The associated costs were paid for by
TDA -Tourism Development Authority.
Moving forward, our community plays a vital part in the success of our
Renewal efforts. It is important to embrace and expand partnerships
in our community. A new RSS logo that aligns with our community
brand demonstrates unity and ownership – an important component of
Renewal.
