Teachers Receive EnergyUnited ' s ' Bright Idea ' Grants
Rowan-Salisbury teachers were honored with receiving grants for their innovative initiatives through the “ Bright Ideas ’ grant program with EnergyUnited . Officials with EnergyUnited ’ s leadership team visited the schools where the teachers are located to announce the grants thus allowing students to share in the celebration . These teachers were also honored and recognized at the November Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education meeting where EnergyUnited ’ s Communication Specialist Donnie Shoaf officially presented each teacher with a check for their achievements , in addition to making brief comments about the awards .
There were over 150 teachers that applied for a 2017 Bright Ideas grant with EnergyUnited this year with 37 of these applicants receiving the grants in 11 of the 19 counties served by EnergyUnited .
