Pinnacle teaches educators about technology Technology in the classroom They could have been at the beach, but instead, nearly 70 Gaston County Schools teachers spent their first weeks of summer vacation in the classroom. Teachers from all grade levels spent time learning together in the Pinnacle Leaders program, which aims to help educators use technology effectively in the classroom and become technology leaders in their schools. The first week of training inspired teachers for the year ahead. They were able to video chat with the author of the bestselling book “Teach Like A Pirate,” learned about and made their own stopmotion videos, and discussed the theory of Project-Based Learning, which focused on planning projects that will connect their students to the community. Now in its 21st year, the Pinnacle program continues to grow with three cohorts of teachers,
