McKoy along with other Coach of the Week recipients will be honored with an on- field presentation and game ball at the December 17 game against the Green Bay Packers. As Coach of the Week, McKoy received a $1,000 donation from the Carolina Panthers, Toshiba, and the National Football League for the school’s athletic program. Congratulations, Coach McKoy! GO Month October was GO Month in Gaston County, and the focus was is education and workforce. We are proud of our partnerships with the Gaston Regional Chamber, Greater Gaston Development Corporation, Gaston College, and our local business community. Because of these partnerships, we have a successful Career and Technical Education program that focuses on making students aware of career opportunities here in Gaston County and prepares students for what awaits after graduation. Educators in the Workplace, Students@Work, Career and College Promise, College Expo, and Career and Manufacturing Expo are a few of our initiatives that connect students with college and careers.
