2017-2018 Student Calendar
Message from Superintendent Christopher M . Lowder Ed . D .
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year ! We are excited about the new year and look forward to educating our students .
Our staff has spent the summer attending numerous professional development conferences and classes so that we can continue to provide our students with innovative classroom experiences and enrichment opportunities .
Cabarrus County Schools continues our tradition of offering families a variety of educational opportunities with more than 30 Program Choice options .
Additionally , students attending Mount Pleasant Middle will have a brand new building this year . Charles E . Boger Elementary and Royal Oaks Elementary will share a location for the 2017-2018 school year while construction on a new Royal Oaks Elementary continues .

Of course , technology will continue to play a role in how we deliver instruction , but we know that no device , app or digital tool can ever take the place of a great teacher delivering an engaging lesson .
We are grateful for the opportunity to educate the 32,000 students who are enrolled in our schools . We ’ re excited about the new school year and can ’ t wait to get started !
