2017-2018 Student Calendar
Message from Superintendent Christopher M . Lowder Ed . D .
Dear Parents , Teachers and Students ,
We celebrated National Principals Month in October . Please join me in congratulating Liz Snyder , principal of Hickory Ridge Middle School , who has been named our Principal of the Year and Richie Wells , assistant principal of instruction at Winecoff Elementary School , who was selected as our Assistant Principal of the Year .
Program Choice applications will be available from November 6th to December 20th at noon . Information about our programs and applications can be found online at cabarrus . k12 . nc . us / ProgramChoice .
The Board of Education has begun the process to establish a boundary for the new Royal Oaks Elementary School , which will open in August 2018 . Public Hearings are planned for November and December before members are scheduled to make a decision on Dec . 11th .
Looking ahead , there are many important upcoming dates . Be sure to check the district calendar to stay in the know .
