NCMS Principal Recognized Congratulations to Anna Blessington, principal of Northwest Cabarrus Middle School, who was named the 2019 Middle-Level Administrator to Watch by the North Carolina Association for Middle Level Education (NCMLE). She was recognized at the organization’s annual conference March 3-5. The award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding performance in middle-level education in areas of academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structures and processes. First Cabarrus County Career Connections Day a Success Cabarrus County Schools juniors and seniors participated in the first annual Cabarrus County Career Connections Day! Hosted by the Cabarrus County Education Foundation, Cabarrus County Schools, and Kannapolis City Schools, students were introduced to the large array of job opportunities available here in Cabarrus County. More than fifty local businesses came out to the event to discuss long-term careers, internships, apprenticeships and summer employment with students. Industries represented included advanced manufacturing, construction, hospitality, automotive, logistics and many others.
