MPMS Wins FFA Week During February’s National FFA Week, Mount Pleasant Middle School’s FFA chapter sponsored a week of events for members as well as the whole student body in attempt to host the “World’s Greatest National FFA Week Celebration.” On Monday, March 26th, FFA New Horizons magazine named the school’s FFA chapter the winner of the coveted title! The school received a fun trophy and the glory knowing they had the “World’s Greatest National FFA Week Celebration!” Their weeklong, trophy-worthy celebration included themed that encouraged student participation, including FFA t-shirt day, boots day, hunting/camo day and flannel day. Each morning during announcements an agriculture trivia question was asked with an answer that could be found on posters hung around the school about North Carolina agriculture. Additionally, FFA members enjoyed a movie night and line dancing class. The most successful event was the Agstravaganza. Various booths were set up showing equipment and technology used in agricultural careers and students were able to showcase their own farm animals and knowledge.
