Former Governor Bev Perdue Visits CWES
Former Governor Bev Perdue visited Coltrane-Webb STEM
Elementary School on Friday, Dec. 11th. Perdue was invited to get
a first hand look at how students use learning tools, like Tiggly, in
classrooms. She was also able to participate in an “Hour of Code”
with students and wrote 15 lines of code with the help of some 5th
graders.
CCHS Receives Commemorative NFL Football
Central Cabarrus High School received a commemorative
football from the NFL on Friday, Feb. 5th to celebrate Super Bowl
50. Former NFL player and CCHS alumnus Natrone Means accepted
the football and gave a brief inspirational speech to CCHS students.
To celebrate the big game’s 50th anniversary, the NFL is presenting
commemorative footballs to high schools throughout the United States
where Super Bowl players have attended.
