CCS Receives $3 Million
Education Grant

Cabarrus County Schools is one of only two traditional school
districts in the country to receive grant funding from the latest
round of the federal Investing in Innovation (i3) competition.
The i3 grants are sponsored by the U.S. Department of
Education. This is the fourth round of the Obama administration’s
signature initiative. The competition is designed to find and scale
up some of the most innovative ideas for improving education.
Individual awards
