FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT an impact on our children and help strengthen a family. Nothing comes before caring and nurturing those we love most. Over the next couple of months, the school board, district staff and school administrators will be focused on making the 2019/2020 school year the very best. We know that fast-paced growth will continue and we are dedicated to providing optimal learning environments while maintaining the same high standards of education. Our efforts to recruit the very best teachers to provide instruction does not slow down during this time. t’s very hard to believe that the 2018/2019 school year is coming to an end. Graduations are upon us and more than 3,000 seniors will be off to new adventures in college, careers, military service or technical schools. It is always an honor to take part in their last school function as St. Johns County students. Mental health and providing resources to help our students will also remain a focus as we seek additional avenues of support and increasing personnel and programs in this area. Our children live very full lives going at a much faster speed than many of us as parents can imagine. As a district, we are committed to making resources available to students and families who need additional social and emotional assistance. This marks another year where I am so proud of our students and the teachers, administrators, support personnel and parents who helped them to be successful. Even with an increased focus on safety and security this year, our students continued to excel in the areas of academic and extracurricular achievement. I am humbled and proud to serve a school district and community I love so much. As superintendent I am so grateful that I get to have a small part in helping your children realize their potential and dreams in a world full of possibilities. Enjoy your summer and we look forward to another great school year in 2019/2020. I My sincere hope is that these summer months provide you and your family and friends the opportunity to spend valuable, quality time together and recharge for the 2019/2020 school year.
