A Night of Hotel Haunts
After closing my eyes for just a few moments,
I got the distinct sensation of movement close
to my bed. Since the Mason House is a historic inn, the rooms do not contain televisions or
modern technologies that might bring a small
amount of light into the room; thus, the room
was pitch black. While I could definitely sense
movement, I could not see anything. Defeated,
I laid back down and shut my eyes. Almost instantly I began to hear the murmurs of a conversation between two men, seemingly right next to
my head. While I could not make out what they
were saying, the give and take of a conversational pattern was unmistakable. The location of
the voices directly corresponded to where I had
sensed movement just moments before, leading
me to conclude that the two were related.
