Ghost Hunting 101   You don’t just drop people into the middle of any scenario as demonstrated through television, because most programing is geared towards getting into the action as quickly as possible so as not to lose the interest of their viewers or commercial sponsors which can lead to big bucks. In reality most ghost hunting experience is either boring from the get go or will have you grinding your teeth in anticipation. The secret to being a successful ghost hunter is to become a master at what you do.  I myself have been within the paranormal field since 1980. And while technology has changed considerably from the time I first chose this path one thing has remained the same with little to no changes at all. People who are either in need of better understanding what it was they had experienced, and people who are in need of knowing that they are not alone in having had their particular experience. For many witnesses of the paranormal is it often more frightening to be exposed to the potential ridicule of the public than it is in their being terrified of some unknown element presumably lurking outside, stalking them in the night, or within their home which was originally meant to be a place of protection and sanctity from an often hostile world.  So for the wannabe ghost hunter should it be realized the great importance of helping and assisting others first and foremost as opposed to merely wanting only the occasional thrill of experiencing a ghost or any other form of anomalous phenomena. The beauty is that such ghostly experience will happen naturally and more often when it is not being forced to perform in front of your recording equipment. for your eventual contact with the deceased since both living and dead do often act alike where both may be governed by their emotions and immediate environment.  For example:  People get angry and thus there also exist hostile ghosts.  People become needy and co-dependent and thus you have ghosts which cling and often will possess an individual’s home for much of the same reasons.  You have homeless people and thus you have wandering ghosts. You have squatters which are homeless people taking up residency on property which is not theirs, and thus you will find the haunting of locations not otherwise considered stigmatized property.  Touching back on the people element must I warn you that it is often the living from which you should be more concerned than that of the Something else of which should be focused on supposed dead. And thus as a successful ghost are the various types of people you will deal with hunter is it more important that you master the which can assist you in either making or breakpeople element first which will then prepare you ing a case. — 63 —
