Œ Œ Water Main Improvements by the City of West Palm Beach: Pavement cost sharing of milling and resurfacing related to water main improvements have been assumed for the purpose of this opinion of cost. The exact locations of proposed water main improvements in each phase will be determined during the detailed design of each project phase. It is understood that no more than $800,000 worth of watermain replacement will occur in any given year based on the established budget for these types of improvements. Œ Œ Gas Main Improvements by Florida Public Utilities: Pavement cost sharing of milling and resurfacing for all gas main improvements scheduled between 2017 and 2021 have been assumed for the purpose of this opinion of cost. See the Phasing and Sequencing section of this master plan for additional information regarding gas replacement recommendations to be constructed concurrently with this program. Œ Œ ACIP and CIP Improvements by the Town of Beach: Pavement cost sharing of milling and resurfacing for selected ACIP, drainage, sewer, and roadway improvement projects have been assumed for the 158 TWELVE 158 | | CHAPTER CHAPTER four purposes of this opinion of cost. Only projects currently funded with bond funds or the Town’s “PayGo” funding sources have been considered. Projects identified by the Town but not currently funded are not considered. Additional opportunities for pavement cost sharing may become available if these projects are funded or as new projects are developed. y y Pavement Management: The costs related to milling and resurfacing, including the above referenced pavement cost sharing credits, are assumed to be funded by a separate Town Pavement Management budget source and are therefore not included in the Undergrounding Program Opinion of Cost. This is because milling and resurfacing of the Town’s roads is a budgeted program that will occur regardless of whether or not the undergrounding program is implemented. The undergrounding program only changes the pace and sequence that the pavement management program will be implemented. All pavements have a useful service life and must be rehabilitated to provide an intended level of service.
