What did you or your company do in 2013 that
you are most proud of?
Sergio Aguilar (D3FY Sports): 2013 was the birth of D3FY Sports. A year
where we met unforeseen obstacles and crushed them with extreme perseverance. It’s through these challenges that D3FY’s proudest moment in
2013 was the finalized D3S paintball marker. We designed a marker that
performed and looked as a high-end marker but without the high sticker
price. Seeing the final product brought a smile to our team but we knew
this was just the beginning. The next step was getting the support from
paintball players across the world. We launched a few ads on a few selected media outlets to help us spread the word and the response we got back
was great.
Brady Moritz (Deadlywind): 2013 is when we launched our Fibur-X bar-
rel series, which is based on the Fibur model but with the added ability
to swap out the backs for different gun threads. We’re also proud that
we were able to continue growing our business through the year, which
makes over a decade of steady growth for us... a pretty long time in this
industry! With this growth we are happy to still be able to provide the
same personal-level support our customers have always enjoyed.
Ledz (Planet Eclipse): Number one for 2013 would be having my first child
(Logan) born in February 2013. Brings quite a different perspective on life
(and sleeping). Eilidh is an amazing mum. She has done everything she
can to make sure I still get out and play paintball :-)
In the Paintball World. Eeerrmm, Well, getting a bunch of guys together
to have fun, drink, party and to play a bit of paintball on the Sandbaggers
has been great. In 2013, nearly 30 players put on a Sandbagger jersey and
what makes me proud is that I’d say over 50% of them would not be playing paintball now if it wasn’t for the Sandbaggers. To Win 9 first places in
2013, 2nd at World Cup and Player of the Year in the UWL is just icing on the cake.
As for Planet, probably a boring answer, but I guess keeping the passion within Planet
alive, the company continually moving forward and innovating make me proud. Creating
and airing the ETV Roster Season 2 has been brilliant and certainly a piece of TV we are
proud of. Capped off by X-Factor winning the World Cup and Dynasty winning the PSP
Series title makes me beam :-) Not to mention the GSL which is AMAZING!
