An Interview With
Promoter of the World F
By John Amodea
I’ve known Dan Bonebrake for more than
20 years. In the early
1990s when I played
for Phantom Force
(based in Virginia) I
first met Dan when we
played his team, also
called Phantom Force,
in Dallas, Texas. We
joked that the winner
would get to keep the
name and the loser
would give it up.
1994, NPPL Pro 5-Player Series Champs

Champions 1999), and Forest Demons (SPPL
Pro World Champions 2009). I’ve also owned
or co-owned the Great Western Series, PanAm
Circuit, XPSL, and the SuperGame events. I
also currently own Warpaint International.
Who are your event sponsors?
Dan has been playing paintball and running
tournaments and big games for decades. I
would go so far as to say no one does it better than Dan. If you’ve not gotten a chance to
attend his Supergame (Portland Oregon area)
I would highly recommend going.
We have a lot of generous sponsors! GI

Dan can you give our readers a brief
history of the Supergame and your
promoting experience?
How has Supergame been doing?
Are you still running two games each
year?
The first SuperGame was held in 1989 by
Bob Shano. This will be the 47th SuperGame
of which I produced 35 of them. I’ve also run
over 50 major regional tournaments (GWS,
PanAm Circuit, and XPSL), and dozens of
smaller tournaments and big games.
SuperGame is now once a year. We have
been growing between 10-20% each year
for the past 10 years. We had 1250 players each day last year and we are expecting
1500 players each day for the 2014 Supergame.
What about a quick Dan Bonebrake
history summary?
This year’s game is May 2-4, 2014.
