Paintball, like most sports, is considered to
be dominated by male players. The time
has come to prove that theory wrong and
change the perception of the game. The
female players, including names like Kat
Secor, Linh Troung, Bea Paxton, and Ellis
Page Martin to name a few, have proven
their talents on the field alongside their
male counterparts by competing at the
highest tournament levels.
This three man women’s tournament
brought female players from all over the
world to embark on Camp Pendleton and
compete at the highest levels of the game.
This four day event consisted of a pro
clinic, players party, photo session at the
beach and the tournament. Women were
given the opportunity to learn the game,
bond with each other, and form lifelong
friendships.
The competition in paintball amongst
women has grown significantly in the last
decade. Women decided to band together and form their own tournament series.
Proving again that men are not the only
players loving this sport. In April 2013, a
new series, the West Coast Women’s
Tournament was conceived.
The success of the WCW embraced the
idea that this series should be played annually, splitting the event between the west
and east coast. This decision brought
forth the next installment of
the tournament series to the east coast
and the East Coast Women’s Tournament
date was set.
