I rolled over to turn off the alarm at 03.30 on the morning of the 22nd of March
I was thinking to myself I better hit the long road. I had just over 250 miles to
travel for the start of the British paintball season. I was heading to the CPPS Dye
championships, the first event of the season.
Around 100 teams were going to ascend on the sleepy town of Penkridge Staffordshire. This year would see six divisions ranging from the Elites all the way to
Breakouts but this weekend was going to be a little special as CPPS were holding
the Great Briton all female tryouts for the Millennium Campaign and I was on the
road going to cover the whole weekend.
I arrived on site to a buzz of activity as teams and players alike were gearing up
to make a name for themselves.
The Breakout Division was designed to bring in new players to tournament paintball, either from wood ball to try their hand or to players that just want to get into
