If you’ve played Oklahoma D-Day anytime in
the past 4-5 years you probably heard talk
about the film Soldiers of Paint. After several years of filming, editing, fund-raising and
working tirelessly, last July Double Six Productions, owned by Doug Gritzmacher and Mike
DeChant, held an advanced screening of
Soldiers of Paint at the prestigious American
Film Institute’s Silver Theatre in Silver Spring,
Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, my
hometown. It was one of the best paintball
films I’ve ever seen.
Soldiers of Paint is a film about the Oklahoma
D-Day Scenario game--it’s about the game,
the lifestyle, the behind the scenes stuff you
would never hear about, and the people that
play the game. The film is entertaining, it’s
funny and it captures what Oklahoma D-Day
really is. Since the time of its initial preview
release the film has been steadily making its
way into the limelight. We recently caught up
with Doug and had a chance to ask him a
few questions about the latest on Soldiers of
Paint.
Doug, again congratulations on a great job
with Soldier s of Paint. So, tell us what’s been
happening with the film since we last saw you
at the premier in the Washington DC area.
