82 In addition to lighter, faster and smaller, the Pinokio Speed is improved over the previous Pinokio in other ways as well. Gone is the long “Pinokio” nose standard with the previous model that lent it the “Pinokio” name, though the front nose portion of the Speed does still detach, this time for tool-less cleaning. The battery door, behind which two ninevolt batteries are used to power the hopper, snaps in place without tools as well. The shells of the Pinokio, which on the previous model were made from brittle polycarbonate that often led to cracked or broken feed necks, are now made from durable, strong nylon and this, in addition to a reinforced feed neck, mean cracked shells or broken dECEMBER 2013 feed necks are a thing of the past. The angled feed bowl, soft impellers and hard-wired bend sensor feed system move forward from previous models unchanged, though a faster gear box has been incorporated to ensure the highest consistent feed rates. As the Pinokio Speed is not, in-fact, a force-feed loader, it can keep up with the fastest markers but is still extremely gentle on even the most fragile paintballs. No eyes or sound sensors are necessary, meaning quiet markers, forcefeed jams or dirty eyes causing jams are simply not a factor. The single on/off button is protected, placed at the bottom of the shells behind the feed neck. Pre-existing Pinokio/ Exalt Speed Feeds will fit the Pinokio Speed.
