TOURNAMENT Photos By Gary Baum Coming into the 2013 PSP West Coast Open it was clear that Dynasty was playing their best paintball in years. With two Pro (Champions Division) wins and a second place finish no pro team has been better than Dynasty this season. As well as Tampa Bay Damage was playing coming into this event, with two second place finishes and a fifth place finish, they were more than 60 seed points behind Dynasty in second place. Edmonton Impact and Houston Heat stood in third and fourth places respectively in the rankings battle coming into the West Coast Open. At this point in the season it appears to be a four team race with the LA Ironmen in fifth place more than 140 from the top. 24 In their first game of the event San Diego Dynasty came out strong, taking the first point from Omaha Vicious. Although they would lose the next point, Dynasty would go on to win the game 7-1. In their second game of the WC Open Dynasty would go up 3-0 on the LA Ironmen and cruise to a 7-3 win. In the third game of the event for Dynasty finally looked like a team that could be beaten. In a tough battle Dynasty went up 3-2 and then the wheels kind of came off for Dynasty. In the end it was a win for the Red Legion 7-3. Dynasty’s fourth game was a back and fourth battle with a very strong Houston Heat team. Dynasty came out quickly taking a 3-1 lead but the Heat battled back to take a 5-3 lead. Then Dynasty fought back to tie it at 5. PAINTBAL
