Prime and Brooklyn Bears won their four first round games.
And only one team lost all four games. That means there
were a lot of teams that won two or three of their prelim
games. The retooled Miami Rage was one of the teams
that looked good in the preliminary round games but got
better and better as the event went on. In the Ochofinals
they beat the New Jersey Jesters, a good team in their

own right, 5-1. Then they beat the Bay State Bandits 3-2.
In the semifinals they beat the previously unbeaten
Raleigh Bloodhounds 5-0. And then they shut out another
team that hadn’t lost a game all event, beating Brooklyn
Bears 5-0. Pretty amazing run! Birmingham Prime won
their consolation final round game to take third.
