The Division Two Xball portion of the Virginia Beach Open drew 24 teams and there was much parity among them. Only Bay State Bandits, Raleigh Bloodhounds, Birmingham Photo by Gary Baum Sixteen teams entered the semipro division at the Virginia Beach Open, many of which you’re probably heard of— teams like Los Angeles Collision, Distortion, Rock City Clutch, DC Devastation, Seattle Uprising and Revo II just to name a few. Seattle Uprising and Rock City Clutch were the only two semipro teams to make it out of the preliminaries unscathed, each winning their four-game schedule. Seattle Uprising, St. Louis HuSTLe, Distortion and New York Outlaws all won their quarterfinals games. Seattle Uprising dominated Distortion in their semifinal game, winning and advancing easily 6-1. And although it wasn’t easy, New York Outlaws beat St. Louis HuSTLe 2-1 to advance to the finals. In another one-point Sunday match it was Seattle Uprising taking the semipro division Virginia Beach Open title with a tough 3-2 victory over New York Outlaws. www.paintball.media 033
