I also caught up with team captain Grant Mcphilemy asked him how he felt to have the 1st win on the board. He informed me that it was good to get the win but deep down, no team wants to win like that. As paintballers, we want to play against teams and not win because a team failed to make the start. I also asked him what his thoughts were on the spin in game 2 with Sandy and Nick. Grant said if the ref did not call it then it must not have been a spin, as we have to play to what the ref’s calls. I think this will be a good battle over the season two teams fighting for promotion. DIVISION 3 This year the Ultraviolet Girls dropped out of Division 3 to compete in division 4 along with 18 other teams. The girls this year have a strong line up and are hoping to do well this year, but due to circumstances Emma Jane Stewart, and Lemmon Baller, did not make round 1, but the girls still had a strong team. Kayleigh Stanton also of team GB, was a powerhouse on the Dorito side, and Suzy Barnet going to work on the snake side. The girls finished a respectable 12th, They will be looking to push on at round 2 hoping to get a podium finish. D4 this year will be a division to watch out for as each 076 paintball magazine team will take points of each other. I wont be surprised to see a team that finished in the bottom half of the table at round 1 finish in the top half of round 2. It’s going to be an exciting division this year. • • • DIVISION 4
