We headed down to CPPS for the Saturday break in
division after we arrived at our hotel at 2am Saturday
morning following an 8-hour drive. We had to be on site
for 7-30 so needless to say we were shattered. Once we
got to our pitting area the lads snapped out of the tired
stage and were ready to go.
The MSR never dropped a point right up until lunch break.
The team was flying, lunch break came and the energy
escaped from the team. They struggled to make the
points count. This allowed other teams to catch up with
them. The other teams were starting to take notice of the
game plan the MSR were running due to inexperience,
they ran the same lines and routes each game they
played. This made it easier for their opponents to lock
their lanes down.
I caught up with the team in the bar that night and they
told me that they just did not have a plan B or C, but that
would change at the next lot of rounds. But they were
really happy with the podium finish.
with a fine performance. A few years ago Scottish
tournament paintball was non-existent The Clan was
probably the only team north of the border running out
of the A1 paintball site.
But now with the Aberdeen Outcasts, MRS 1 and 2, Lossie
Havoc, Exudes, and Din Eden. And with a new team
forming, Edinburgh Crypt Scottish tournament paintball
is on the up and up.
Sunday rolled around an over cast day, but there was
nothing over cast with the teams and players turning up to
make their mark on round 1 in the DYE CHAMPIONSHIP.
Some big teams with big names rolled up. Jason Wheeler
had left London Nexus to join his brother Jake Wheeler
on a new team the London Outcasts. We saw the return
of Clint Moor back home at London Nexus after a spell
at Art Chaos. We see London Nexus are in a transitionbuilding phase.
So this season was building up to be a great one, and this
was the start of round 1.
D5
Saturday also ran with D5. There were some great games
in this division that saw Thunder Ducks take top spot. This
is a team to look out for in the coming season.
Lossie Havoc, another Scottish team, made their long
journey to take part in round 1. They made the podium

After 2 years of the Lucky 15s first team being in the
Elite division of CPPS and not having a single podium,
this weekend changed all of that with an impressive 1st
place. They had some of the best games against, London
Nexus, London Tigers and The Sandbaggers.
London Outcast finished the morning session on the same
points as Sandbaggers, but due to the ruling that they
were a new team they finished the day 5th and missed out
on the afternoon bracket for the podium spots.
