big time in their first professional Millennium event,
hammering Drammen Solid 5-0. After a one-point loss
to Frankfurt Syndicate Scorpions played a really strong
game, beating a very strong ML Kings 5-4. They continued
on to the quarterfinals where they lost to Houston Heat
in a tight two-point game—a great showing for their firstever pro event. Speaking of ML Kings, they lost two of
three preliminary round games and missed the cut. On
the other hand, Frankfurt Syndicate swept their group and
moved on.
After a first-game loss to Houston Heat, Breakout Spa
turned it up and won their last preliminary round games
by shutting out Outrage Valence and London Nexus. But
it was Houston Heat that would run away with this group.
Edmonton Impact swept their group as well, but all of their
games were close. Ditto Toulouse TonTons who swept
their group and dominated each of the three matches.
In the pro quarterfinals Breakout Spa won their third
straight shutout match, 5-0 versus Frankfurt Syndicate.
TonTons continued their stellar play beating Offenburg
Comin At Ya 6 to 3. Edmonton Impact blew past Paris
Camp Carnage 5-0 and Houston Heat ended Scorpions
Milano’s first pro event with a 6-4 win.
