Houston Heat placed fifth, Los Angeles
Ironmen took sixth, ac Dallas placed seventh
and Tampa Bay Damage rounded out the
top eight. Surprisingly, Moscow Red Legion
did not make the cut, finishing tenth.
In the Semiprofessional Xball division it
was Sacramento DMG’s season. With the
exception of a blip in Atlantic City, DMG ran
the table with three first place wins. Could
they do it again at the ‘Cup? While they
didn’t play their best ball in the preliminary
rounds, DMG did come to life on Sunday.
They breezed past 406s Finest 5-0, then beat
Louisville Asylum 5-1 and then won a great
final-round game against New York Xtreme

4-3 to win their fourth event in five 2017 tries.
In Division Two Xball NRG Elite got off to
a very slow start in 2017 with a 15th place
finish in Las Vegas. Since that first event
they have placed third in Texas, they won
Atlantic City and took third in Chicago. At
the World Cup NRG Elite played their best
ball of the season running the table from
the preliminary rounds to the finals, where
they beat Northside Empire 4-3 to claim first
place once again. The win also nets NRG
Elite the season series title. LA Boom and
Wild Dogs Latino America finished third and
fourth respectively.
