Skirmish
I ON
The big one, for years the biggest game on the American calendar
regularly drawing 4,000 players or more, plus dozens of vendors to the
Pennsylvania Poconos, the Invasion of Normandy at Skirmish shows
no signs of relinquishing its crown anytime soon. This summer, players
will once again take their places in the treeline on one side of a large
open field at Skirmish while the Allies will gather in landing craft waiting
for ramps to drop while bagpipe music plays. When the game begins
paintballs will literally fill the air and thousands of players will battle for
supremacy in this paintball recreation of the pivotal D-Day landings at
Normandy during World War 2. Drawing players of all skill levels from
literally day one rental players to seasoned professional athletes, ION is
like nothing else on the paintball calendar and while the format remains
the same, the game continues to draw a massive crowd thanks to an
incredible, historic host park in Skirmish that has hosted paintball games
since the eighties, and a massive dealer presence with something for
everyone! If you haven’t been to Skirmish, this is your excuse to go. If
you haven’t been to ION, this is one you should put on the “bucket list”
and set some time aside for.
