August saw the very popular SuperGame
paintball event branch out to the east coast
for the first SuperGame EAST hosted at
Outdoor Extreme (OXCC) in Chesapeake,
MD. The original SuperGame, started in
1989, is presently the largest game on the
West Coast and is hosted at Sniperzden in
St. Paul, OR each May. Boasting more than
1600 players, it is one of the country’s largest
paintball events. SuperGame’s prosperity
(they just celebrated their 50th game) can
be attributed to its excellent organization,
transparency, solid prizes, strong sense of
community and welcoming environment.
Dan Bonebrake, the Owner and Producer
of SuperGame since 1997, is at the center of
this success with his attention to detail and
sincere love of his players. He set to work with
Brian Barno, owner of OXCC and Prestige
Paintballs, to bring this same successful
atmosphere to the other side of the country.

SuperGame typically sees two Generals
overseeing each faction, with one being
a well-known “celebrity” General. At
SuperGame EAST, Greg “RED” Hastings
and Joe Perez were selected to lead the
Red faction, while Andre “WOLF” Critchlow
and Donnie McFarlin led the Blue faction.
SuperGame employs the use of a third
faction, the Renegades, to balance the game
and provide an added challenge at certain
points in the game. This third faction was
led by me, Callista Moseley, as the White
General. Due to unforeseen circumstances,
Wolf was unable to make the event, but the
experienced Thomas “Silver Fox” Bianco
of Blues Crew stepped in to aid McFarlin.
SuperGame 50 winning General Jeff Klaassen
and half a dozen of his teammates on the
Operators flew in to lend some extra support
to the inaugural game.
