Only Cleveland Imperial, Raleigh Bloodhounds and Philadelphia Xtreme managed to get through the four game preliminary round schedule unscathed. And only Montreal Image, Miami Rage and Birmingham Prime each won three games. As the weekend progressed it was becoming clear that Montreal Image would be the team to beat.
