San Antonio X-Factor – the consistency While you may not see these guys on the top of the podium at every event, you can bet if you step inside the net on Sunday at a pro paintball event in the United States you’ll bump into X-Factor and it’s very possible they’ve already beaten you in the prelims to get this far. Bottom line: these guys are good and they are consistently a Sunday-club team that at any given moment can beat anyone in the world. Yet another longtime member of the Planet Eclipse roster, players like Archie Montemayor, Colt Roberts, Grayson Goff and Billy Bernacchia will continue shooting Eclipse CS1 and CSR markers in 2017 and look good doing it, but the team’s big change was their move from the G.I. Sportz and VForce side of the fence to one of that company’s other brands, Empire, for 2017. Granted X-Factor spent many of their early years in Empire gear, but this is a new season and a new world for the now-G.I. Sportz-owned Empire brand, and their gear, like the new EVS goggle and the latest soft goods like pants and packs, look damned good on the red and blue-clad Texas team, who picked up Anthrax for custom clothing and will continue shooting the Dye Rotor for another season.
