Once camp is settled many go up to vendor
village to see the newest gear. Numerous
booths from vendors like Paintballtech.net,
Push, Social Paintball and many more were
again in attendance. Don’t forget to grab
a smoothie or burger while up there! From
vendor village, with hands full of drink & food
you can either take a seat in the common area
in the orchard or go to the covered spectator
area right by the net. You can comfortable
watch all the action on the open concept
field from there. After lunch you can swing
by Ryan Sexton’s “Brigade” booth to sign
up and get your exclusive game patch. Then
you can test your skill at the LA Hitmen time
trials, a high paced course that tests your
accuracy and speed. See how you rank up
against other top shooters across the nation.
The battles were intense again this year. Jeff
“Lochness” Klaassen of the “Operators”
came in as two-time champion red team
general. With numerous SuperGame wins
under Jeff’s belt, it would take a worthy
opponent to have a chance at finally bringing
down the red team. Enter, Branden “Grey
66
paintball.media magazine
Wolf” Shealy of DeathPack. He came with a
plan and that plan was to win. These two lead
ferocious battles all weekend, with tactical
plays being chattered across comms and
havoc launchers and paint flame throwers in
pay. It was organized chaos. Shout out to the
amazing ref’s! The final score 854 to 837, with
the Blue team taking the win.
When the battles die down and the sky turns
dark, even more fun begins. Campfires and
war stories from the day keep players up
late into the evening. The smell of BBQ and
sounds of laughter are heard throughout the
orchard. Many rinse the days fight away with
a hot shower located on site. A live band at
the main stage draws a crowd of achy bodies
eager to sit down for a show. On Saturday
night, if you listen closely, you can hear the
sound of the rhythmic bass calling you deep
into the forest. “Darkwoods” transports you
into another world. That’s a whole other
secret adventure you’ll have to discover
for yourself. Start planning your trip for
SuperGame 52 now!
