Now in its third season , the NXPL is growing by leaps and bounds . This year ’ s first event was hosted by the famous Hell Survivors Paintball Park , located in the small town of Pinckney , Michigan . With the gates opening at 6 AM , teams from all over the Midwest and Canada were here and ready to play paintball .
Hell Survivors has been the location for some of the best big game and scenario based paintball events . Its most famous game , Tippmann Versus The World ( now called GI Sportz Versus The World ) is the biggest of them all . For this event however , Hell Survivors becomes the host for this successful 25-team tournament . The teams would be divided by skill levels with13 teams playing in Division Four 5-man and 12 Teams playing the the Division Five 5-man , including teams from Michigan , Ohio ,
Indiana , and Canada , all here to battle for the big prizes and payouts offered by the NXPL .
After a quick captains meeting things got rolling and there would be more than 100 preliminary round games played . The first match of the day was Michigan Mammoths versus Ham Hawks with Michigan Mammoths coming out on top with a 2:28 minute win . Michigan Mammoths would go on to lose their next two matches but would come back stromg making it to the D4 quarterfinals . Other teams to make it into the D4 quarterfinals included TCP Reapers , Weekend Cru , and Average Joe ’ s .
Average Joe ’ s took on The Weekend Cru and even though they lost the first round were able to pull it together taking the last two points which would be enough to get
