Tampa Bay Damage has been through a lot the past seven or eight years
starting with Alex Spence being diagnosed with cancer in 2011. After a long
two-year battle he returned to the team and to pro paintball where he is still healthy
and playing ball. Then there was a three month period in 2015 where the team lost
its sponsors, retired from pro paintball, got new sponsors and unretired. And then in
2017 the team got the devastating news that one of their own, Jerry Desvarieux, was
in a serous car accident that would eventually leave him unable to compete again.
Yet, somehow this team continues on year after year doing what they love.
Prediction:
This year will be a bright one for Damage. They will finish in the top
four of the Pro Xball division of the NXL.
