When my friend David Justin, who you
might know better as The Reaper, told
me he had a new sponsor of course I
was happy for him. He puts his best foot
forward for our game, sport and industry
every chance he gets. When I found out
that his best foot, both of them actually,
would be wearing boots from Altai going
forward in his paintball adventures, I
was intrigued and started doing a little
homework. After all, as coincidence
would have it, I also play paintball and
have feet. After a little time on the Altai
website and some very positive feedback
from the Reaper who seemed to be quite
impressed with his Altai boots, I was put
in touch with Ryan Begin, the Marketing
how good their boots really are. Having
done so, I can only hope he doesn’t want
these things back. Altai makes a hell of a
pair of boots that come standard with a
high-tech edge!
As luck would have it, though I’m not sure
whether it’s good luck or bad, my test pair
of Altai eight-inch tan side-zip combat-
style boots (model MFM100Z) showed
up just in time for a historic cold snap here
in Northern Virginia, with snow and ice
blowing in and temperatures plummeting
to the single digits with wind chills around
zero. That said, there are plenty of places
around where the weather’s been much
worse, but for a southern boy with summer
on his mind, it’s more than rough
